Beefy Bee and the “B” Stands for Beef

This is the Beefy Bee that was requested last year. That’s right. Last year. WTF. That STINGS, honey.

Heh, classic joke about the New Year and a bee, ya get it? Haha.

Anyway. This one was stupid hard for me to do and it took me forever to muster up the courage to try to draw it. I finally finished the sketch and felt happy with it, even though the stinger looked a bit like a wiener.

I kept it anyway.

So oh boy! The Illustrator process took forever. Painstakingly dropping anchor points all over this hive.

I had no idea what to do for color schemes, so I turned to one of my favorite artists Ramon Villalobos for some inspiration and, heh, he didn’t disappoint.

Lemme tell you something else BROTHER. This beef bee is available on Redbubble and looks pretty weird on some t-shirts. If you wanna wear a shirt with a obese bee with a sting wiener, PLEASE DO.
