Strange Things Art to make your skull gears turn.
I got some sweet vellum paper & I wanted to make a double layered drawing. So I drew someone’s skin and someone’s skull. Oh boy!
Wasn’t expecting to love the project so much. It’s stupid simple but seeing it come together was fun to me. I love this vellum paper. Still figuring out the best way to print with it, but it’s a blast.
Process started with the pencil sketch. Then I built it in Illustrator with the pen tool. Then I had to figure out how to create a face to go over the skull. Drew a couple of variations that I kinda hated. Still not thrilled with the final face but it works.
Had to use limited colors and had to shy away from white in the overlaying face because it would print clear and show the skull details thru more prominently. Does that make any sense? Probably not.
Honestly don’t know what to name it. Help me out.
