Strange Things Art to make your skull gears turn.
Boy howdy, I haven’t posted any progress shots in awhile.
I’ve been busy working on storyboards for a neat project. It’s pretty fun, you know?
Anyway, here’s what I got so far:
EYEBALL MANG
This eye ball man dude won the Twitter poll after it was DEADLOCKED AT 50/50 (2 people voted). Someone on the Facebook page was like “meh I want the eyeball dude i guess” and I was like well I guess he wins then. So I started drawing him. Super emo. Super hipster. Denim jacket. Lanky arms. iPhone 9billion PLUS. Since I uploaded this on Instagram I’ve added a lot more. He’s going to be underwater too. I don’t know why. I don’t care why. So stahp. This one should be done with the first pencil stages within the next two days… Hopefully.
Cactus Samurai REVIVED
Remember the Cactus Samurai I drew awhile back? I decided I hated it. So I’m trying again. I’m only on the thumbnail stage. I plan on tracking my entire progress for this. You can view a more organized version of these loose thumbnails HERE. Yay! Drawing this dude with feet is a no go. So I gotta figure out how to make him look threatening rooted in a ceramic pot.
BUBBLE GUM RIBS
Yup, these are some ribs. I have no idea what’s going on with them. Where they’re headed. What the end game is. But they look like they are made of some bubble gum or Laffy Taffy. I was going to make a pun and have a giant eyeball in the middle… Rib EYE… That was even too corny for me.
ANOTHER OWL…
The caption for this on Instagram reads “Owl see you around.” This made me realize that I make far, far too many puns. And that I actually try to find ways to make a drawing that was created with no pun in mind whatsoever be a pun when it’s finished. Anyway, here’s an owl. Sorry.
That’s it I think for right now. Probably have some doodles kicking around here and there but I didn’t have access to them right now. Stay tuned and I’ll keep posting the progress!
